Centro Galego de Lisboa.

Rua Júlio de Andrade, nº 3

Like a river, art is made up of multiple streams that have flooded our cultures, lives and history for millennia. Art mocks
our borders and our beliefs.

But, like the torrent of the river, art is indomitable.
No dam is powerful enough to stop it.
The art is colorful, cheerful, dark and multiple. It is the image of past, present and future artists that continue to feed this flow of creativity that participates in the history of our people.

Art is the essence of our hopes, emotions and love of life.

From the 15th to the 17th of December, anyone passing through Xuventude de Galicia – Centro Galego de Lisboa will come across the exhibition “Rio de Arte”, where 4 artists will gather to show a journey through the colors and materials
used to create the pigments throughout of history.

They are small details that have become indispensable in our lives. A vivid range of paintings and sculptures that celebrate eclectic modern art with different ways of expressing and seeing the present day.

Xuventude de Galicia – Centro Galego de Lisboa, founded on November 10, 1908, is an association of people interested in disseminating and
making known Galician culture and traditions in all its manifestations.
Its vocation is to promote, among its associates, cultural, recreational and social activities, creating friendship, mutual support and sociability among them. It also seeks to maintain the continuity of two values, customs and traditional uses of Galicia, while promoting, on the other hand, a fruitful cultural exchange with other similar associations. Juventude da Galicia is registered under number 13 in the “Portuguese Federation of Culture and Recreation Collectivities” and was declared Public Utility on November 26, 1980, a distinction that is granted to Associations that provide relevant services to communities or carry out activities of
interest generally.

Xuventude de Galicia – Centro Galego de Lisboa has, since July 1988, its headquarters and facilities at Rua
Júlio de Andrade, nº 3, in Lisbon, in a palace built at the end of the 20th century. XIX, baseado na project by an Italian architect. Located in
the center of Lisbon, it has a wide variety of activities. Since 1956, the “Anaquiños da Terra” group has been promoting Galician traditional dances and music, as well as a large number of exhibitions, conferences and many other activities to familiarize us with our culture and our traditions.
