ROUSSILLON
Cette oeuvre fait désormais partie du Conservatoire du Patrimoine du Concelho de Mafra – Portugal
This diptych is a visual celebration of the lands of Provence and in particular, from the picturesque village of Roussillon.
It evokes the softness and seduction of this region where the earth is imbued with sun and warm colors..
The two panels of this diptych are a hymn to the beauty of the region's emblematic ochres.. Terracotta tones, scorched earth and brick red blend harmoniously, creating a rich and warm visual palette.
The technique used to create this work is a true spectacle in itself. I let textures and effects emerge, giving a tactile dimension to the work.
One of the most striking characteristics of “Roussillon” is its shiny and lustrous surface. The entire work is covered with a transparent resin which gives it an incomparable shine., thus reinforcing the essence and luminosity of the colors.
This shine adds a touch of magic to the work, creating a play of light and reflections that invites deep contemplation.

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
In the heart of darkness, on a large format canvas with an evocative title, “Life is beautiful,” an explosion of color transcends the limits of abstraction.
A black background, like the night, serves as a canvas for an extraordinary visual spectacle. Multicolored shards, bright and cheerful, dance in harmony to play a hymn to life.
Every color, every line, seems to be a musical note . Multi-colored gestures create a striking contrast with the black background, symbolizing the duality of existence, the beauty that can emerge from even the darkest moments. Shapes and colors mix and separate, forming an intoxicating ballet that resonates with the optimism and vitality of life.
Colors evoke the diversity and richness of the human experience. Each shade represents an emotion, one moment, a memory. The whole work resembles a kaleidoscope of stories and sensations, a tribute to the complexity of existence.
“Life is beautiful” reminds us that life is a painting on which we can paint our own colors and create our own melody. It's a celebration of optimism, resilience, and joy that can arise even in the darkest times. It is a reminder that, despite the challenges and uncertainties of existence, the beauty and magic of life persists.

UN DIMANCHE AU SENEGAL
“There are colors that, isolated, seem tasteless, but would be sorely missed by a demanding painter, the same, there are spices that, taken in isolation, are inedible and yet are essential elements of a successful grand cuisine.”
