I share with you the honor I had to participate in the biennial Abel Manta de Gouveia competition, pretty town in Portugal with two works “Notre Dame of Paris” and “Masked ball”.

The Abel Manta Painting Prize was instituted by the Municipality of Gouveia in 2007, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the death of painter Abel Manta and aims to promote national visual artists, by offering the public presentation of their works and promoting the visual arts. as a key element of the Municipality's cultural programming.

Abel Manta Municipal Museum of Modern Art

The Abel Manta Municipal Museum is housed in an 18th century building with seven permanent exhibition rooms and one for temporary exhibitions, an art library, educational services, a reception and a museum shop, this space houses the core of Abel Manta & rsquo; s work, which deserves a long visit, in addition to the works of illustrious masters such as Vieira da Silva, Joaquim Rodrigo, Julio Resende, Julius Orchard, Menêz and Paula Rego.
