Sm'Art 2025 in Aix-en-Provence: My First Time at Stand A42

Sm'Art 2025 took place from 30 April to 4 May 2025 at Parc Jourdan in Aix-en-Provence. You can find all my exhibitions, before and since, on my exhibitions page.
From 30 April to 4 May 2025, I took part in Sm'Art 2025, which bills itself as the largest open-air contemporary art fair in Europe, at Parc Jourdan in Aix-en-Provence. It was my first time there, at stand A42.
Aix, a city close to my heart
I was born in Marseille, but I lived in Aix-en-Provence for 30 years: it's where I raised my children and built my adult life. Today I live in Portugal, near Lisbon, in Ericeira, but Aix is still rooted in my heart and I go back every year with great joy. Exhibiting at Sm'Art was therefore a particularly emotional moment for me.
The 19th edition
- 160 artists and 25 galleries
- an enriched art and music programme
- friendly spaces with restaurants, food trucks, champagne and wine bars
- an opening on 30 April with a performance by the international violinist Esther Abrami
My stand, A42, was at the end of the main entrance aisle, the last one on the right: a lovely spot to talk about art, exchange ideas and share a moment together. During the fair, I also offered free tickets to those who asked. For more about the fair, see the Sm'Art website.

And today
Since then, I've chosen a slower pace and now mostly welcome visitors to my studio in Ericeira, during my Open House days in spring and early December. I explain why in Slowing Down to Meet You Better. You can also browse my abstract paintings online.
