Open House at my studio in Ericeira | 16 May 2026
On Saturday 16 May, I opened the doors of my studio and my home in Ericeira. What a day! Nearly 80 people came, from the region and from Lisbon: friends, faithful collectors, and many people I was meeting for the first time.

Each painting in its new family
Many of my paintings were adopted that day, often by new collectors I did not know before. Afterwards, I delivered each work myself to its new home, and I loved those moments.
You know me: I hate not knowing where one of my paintings goes, because each one is a piece of me. It makes me so happy to know that it brings joy to people I have met and talked with. It may sound silly, but it matters to me. That is why I do not sell my work online, and why I find it hard to leave paintings with galleries: afterwards, I never know whose home they end up in.
To this day, I can tell you exactly which painting lives with whom, and I have sold quite a few! A handful went through a gallery owner and I do not know where they are. That makes me a little sad, I miss them.
