From my studio in Ericeira I can see the ocean, and at the end of the day there is a moment when sky and sea become one soft light. I painted it with the palette knife, halfway between abstract and landscape.

Blues and turquoise for the water, red and gold for the sun going down. It is a big canvas, 93 × 159 cm, so the horizon has room, and the warm colours keep the blues from ever feeling cold.

It belongs to my Atlantic Blues collection.
