Icare – Between Rise and Fall
This 100 x 100 cm acrylic painting is my personal interpretation of the myth of Icarus. Against a deep black background, blazing reds and sunlit yellows soar upward, capturing the thrill of ascent before dissolving into darker tones, echoing the inevitable fall.
In Icare, I wanted to convey that fleeting moment when boldness flirts with recklessness, when light both beckons and consumes. Layered textures reveal the energy of a flight toward the unknown, but also the fragility of one who dares to approach the sun.
This is more than a decorative piece – it’s an invitation to reflect on our own drives, boundaries, and our unstoppable urge to go beyond the horizon.
