Saint Louis 1904 had the exhibition and the Olympic Games at the same time, the first Olympics ever held in America. It all took place in Forest Park, which is still the big green heart of the city. Saint Louis must have been packed that summer.

Strong geometric shapes and lots of colours, as on all 20 canvases of my World's Fair series. Alone or next to the others, it was made for both.

It belongs to my Pop Seventies collection.
