The Centro de Artes da Ericeira is more than just an art gallery—it's a remarkable journey that came to life thanks to the dedication of Ron Logan, the gallery's founder and an American painter. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to him on behalf of all the local artists for creating this incredible opportunity to connect with the public and share our passion for art.

This project is the result of an extraordinary series of synchronistic events and collaborative efforts. When, in early July, Ron Logan approached me with his idea of creating a space to celebrate local artistic diversity, it was just a spark. His passion for art and his vision to create a haven for creativity were the driving forces behind this project.

Overcoming Challenges with Perseverance

The road to creating the gallery wasn’t easy. There were many challenges along the way, but Ron and his team tackled them with unwavering determination and countless hours of hard work. Every decision, every stroke of effort, was filled with their passion to see this gallery come to life. Their perseverance paid off, and the result is an exceptional art gallery that is now a vital part of the local community.

A Momentous Opening

The grand opening of the Centro de Artes da Ericeira on August 12 was a pivotal moment. Seeing nine local artists showcase their works, feeling the excitement of the visitors, and watching their eyes light up with awe made the whole journey worthwhile. The gallery is housed in a historic building in the heart of Ericeira that once was the site of the OVNI stationery store, a place that sold little toys and inspired joy in the children of the village. This transformation into an artistic space, where stories and emotions come to life, is truly a remarkable achievement.

A Gallery Filled with Artistic Souls

The works on display carry a part of each artist’s soul. Every visitor who steps through the doors becomes part of the evolving story of this gallery. We continue to spark wonder and inspiration in the hearts of everyone who experiences the magic of this space.

The gallery is open every day from 11 AM to 9 PM. I will personally be present on weekends, while Joséphine and Susana will be happy to welcome you on the other days.
