Reflections on SIAC Marseille 2024: An Unforgettable Experience
An Emotional Participation
Just a few days ago, I had the privilege of attending the International Contemporary Art Fair (SIAC) at Parc Chanot in Marseille, my hometown. It’s always a unique experience to present my artwork in such a special setting, surrounded by family, friends, and new acquaintances.
My Roots and the Importance of Connections
This year, I realized just how significant my roots are and how deeply I am connected to so many people. The warmth from the audience and their recognition truly touched my heart. I am also honored to have been ranked among the top five artists favored by the public (out of 170 artists present), securing the fourth place. Your support and encouragement have been a constant source of inspiration for me.
Success of the “Minis de Lénon”
I am thrilled that my little gems, the “Minis de Lénon,” generated so much enthusiasm among you. Your positive feedback and interest in my works are a genuine reward for all the hard work and passion I have poured into them.
Reflecting on SIAC 2024 and Future Projects
For me, SIAC was a priority for 2024, and I am delighted to see it was a success. I’m already looking forward to returning next year, unless I surprise you all a bit earlier. So, stay tuned for updates!
Heartfelt Thanks
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you—family, friends, fellow artists, and even strangers who took the time to visit my booth and share a moment with me. Your smiles and encouragement will remain etched in my memory.
A Minor Incident
However, I cannot help but mention a small downside: a charming couple acquired three canvases from my giant puzzle “World’s Fair” but left without paying. This leaves a slightly bitter taste, as I find it hard to understand how someone can enjoy our passion without supporting us financially—unless it was unintentional, which I prefer to believe. In any case, I choose to focus on the positive aspects of this exhibition and the beautiful energy you all brought me.
