My 2025 Crowdfunding Campaign: Sm'Art and Knokke

This campaign dates from spring 2025. Both fairs have since taken place: read about Sm'Art 2025 in Aix-en-Provence and my experience at the Artist Meeting in Knokke. Thank you to everyone who supported or shared it.
Dear friends, 2025 was a key year in my journey as an artist. I had the chance to take part in two art fairs: Sm'Art in Aix-en-Provence, France, and the Artist Meeting in Knokke, Belgium. Two great opportunities to show my work to a wider, international audience. To make it happen, I asked for your help.
Why a crowdfunding campaign
Taking part in fairs like these is a real investment: registration fees, transporting the paintings, accommodation, communication… In all, the costs came to more than €8,000. So I launched a crowdfunding campaign on Ulule with an initial goal of €3,000, to fund at least one of the two fairs, knowing that the more we raised, the further I could go.
Every euro counted
Asking a few people for large sums is hard. It's much easier to bring together 500 people giving €1 than to find two people giving €250! That's why contributions started at €1. There were three ways to help:
- make a donation, from €1;
- share the campaign with friends, family and colleagues;
- follow and engage on social media: likes, comments and shares.
The rewards
To thank contributors, I offered small original artworks, signed and numbered art prints, invitations to private views and free entry to both fairs.
