💛 My First MARY Workshop 💛

A few days before opening MARY, a small group of women reminded me why I started this journey.

On Tuesday, October 28th, just a few days before the official opening of Make Art Reconnect Yourself, I had the joy of offering my very first creative experience to a lovely group of women staying in Ericeira with Bluceira.

There were four of them — Majella, Clara, Amélie, and, as if life wanted to send me a wink, Mary, my mascot, the one who inspired it all.

I chose to lead a collage workshop on the theme of self-portrait.

Each woman received a blank mask and, step by step, created her own — the visible side, the one we show to the world, and the invisible side, the one we keep inside.

The process was moving and honest, at times playful, always full of truth.

They left with their creations — a little changed, perhaps, and above all with something that will continue to evolve. These masks can grow with them, reflecting their own transformations over time.

It was a truly meaningful and heartwarming experience for me too — one that I can’t wait to share again.
