For Fantasia I went down to the bottom of the ocean, at least in my head. An intense ultramarine fills the canvas, and turquoise breaks through it like cracks in the seabed.
While painting, I imagined a soft little tune underwater, something cheerful you would hear through the sea. Between the dark blue and the bright turquoise, the light comes and goes.
It belongs to my Atlantic Blues and Colors in Freedom collections.
