Van Gogh wrote to his brother Theo: "the sight of the stars always makes me dream." Galaxy came from that same feeling. A dark blue fills the canvas, and small bursts of light open up in it like stars.
It is almost all one colour, blue from the deepest to the lightest. 70 × 60 cm, a canvas for a quiet room, or for anyone who likes to look up at night.
It belongs to my Atlantic Blues and Colors in Freedom collections.
