Rounded shapes open out like wings on a bright blue background. Red, green, violet, yellow and a little white: the colours of the drawings I made as a child, when a butterfly was just two curves facing each other.
Butterfly is part of GEOMETRIK 40, my 40 × 40 cm square canvases with a 1970s spirit. It is light, a bit funny, and it puts some cheer into a room.
It belongs to my Pop Seventies collection.
Would you like to see it in person? I welcome visitors to my studio in Ericeira, by appointment: send me a message on WhatsApp.
