Certificate of authenticity
On a very deep matte black, the gold spreads out freely, like a small explosion caught at the very moment it happens. Up close you find reliefs, tiny bubbles, little craters.
With the light, the gold moves: depending on the time of day and where you stand, the canvas is never quite the same. You can take it as a bare canvas, or in a black 3D frame that sets it off and protects it.
It belongs to my Gold in the Dark collection.
Would you like to see it in person? I welcome visitors to my studio in Ericeira, by appointment: send me a message on WhatsApp.
