In Gold III the gold doesn't explode, it flows. Supple, rounded shapes slide across the matte black, as if the gold were still liquid and might go on moving if you looked away.
Look closely and the surface is full of small accidents: bubbles, craters, fine textures that catch the light. With Gold I and Gold II it makes a little group of three, but it is just as happy on its own.
