Janelas da Fé means windows of faith. On a deep black background, coloured rectangles light up like the stained-glass windows of a cathedral when the sun comes through. Each window has its own colour, some warm, some cool.
I mixed oil and acrylic on this large canvas, 120 × 120 cm. Chagall's stained glass has that light which seems to come from behind the glass. Here it comes out of the black.
It belongs to my Colors in Freedom collection.
