Azure, sky blue, a blue close to navy, a paler one that leans towards grey. On this small canvas I put them side by side, in little pieces that fit together like the bits of coloured glass in a kaleidoscope.
Each blue brings back something different: a winter sky, the water left between the rocks at low tide, the shutters of the houses here. It is a quiet painting, 40 × 40 cm, small enough for a shelf or a narrow wall.
It belongs to my Atlantic Blues and Colors in Freedom collections. See all the works of the Kaleidoscopes series.
Would you like to see it in person? I welcome visitors to my studio in Ericeira, by appointment: send me a message on WhatsApp.
