Céleste is the blue you see when you lie on your back and look straight up. On this canvas the deep blues and the light ones sit side by side, with a few pale touches that let some air in.
I worked partly with the knife, partly with the brush, so some areas are smooth and others have a little relief. At 40 × 40 cm, it is a small piece of sky to keep at home.
It belongs to my Atlantic Blues and Colors in Freedom collections. See all the works of the Kaleidoscopes series.
Would you like to see it in person? I welcome visitors to my studio in Ericeira, by appointment: send me a message on WhatsApp.
