Kintsugi is inspired by the Japanese art of repairing broken objects by highlighting their cracks with gold. On a luminous golden background, a freeform organic shape reveals a dark core interwoven with reds, yellows, and blacks. The cracked texture, sealed under glossy resin, resembles a precious gemstone.
Through this piece, I celebrate the beauty of imperfection. Like the kintsugi technique, golden lines do not hide the fractures—they reveal them, turning them into symbols of resilience and rebirth.
