I painted Bal Masqué during the pandemic, but it is not really about sanitary masks. It is about the ones we all wear without seeing them. On a dark background full of colour, white lines draw faces with no names, linked to each other.
Shakespeare put it long ago: "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players." Behind each of these masks, I think, are the same feelings as yours and mine.
