On a very hot day, the horizon starts to shake and you're no longer sure what you see. That's what I wanted in Mirages. Reds, oranges and yellows laid on thick with a palette knife, and here and there some turquoise, soft green and blue.

The relief catches the light differently as you walk past, so the shapes never quite stay put. Look at it long enough and you start seeing things that may not be there.
