Oxygène is twelve square canvases, 40 × 40 cm each. It grew out of Boléro, one of my large paintings, and belongs to my Pop series. Each square holds up on its own, and together they make a 160 × 120 cm composition.
What I like is that the hanging stays free: in a line, in a grid, or a bit of a mess on purpose. You set the rhythm. With its bright reds and blues, it looks different every time you move a piece.
It belongs to my Pop Seventies collection.
