São Julião is a beach near Ericeira, and at the end of the day the light there warms everything up. Ochre and red for the sand and the sky, deep blues and sea greens for the water and the foam.
At some point you can no longer tell where the sky ends and the ocean begins. That's the moment I painted, on a big 120 × 120 cm square, when everyone on the beach goes quiet and looks the same way.
It belongs to my Atlantic Blues and Soft Shades collections.
