In the middle of this canvas, a large shape of gold rises out of the dark, like a planet or a sun being born. The gold is laid on thick, with reliefs that catch the light.
Around it I put flashes of blue, red and purple, like life starting up again around the light. I called it Rebirth because it is about beginnings, and about looking after what we have, starting with the Earth.
It belongs to my Gold in the Dark and The One-Offs collections.
