In Santorini, blue is everywhere: the domes, the shutters, the sea at the foot of the cliffs. On this canvas I kept only the blue, deep in places, almost transparent in others, where the light comes through.
It is the Mediterranean, not my Atlantic, and you can feel the difference: the water is calmer, clearer. That stillness is what I was after.
It belongs to my Atlantic Blues collection.
