La Maritza is the river of Sylvie Vartan's childhood in Bulgaria, and the song she made of it in 1968. A tender song, a little nostalgic. On the canvas I chose joy: pop shapes and frank colours.
It is part of my Seventies Pop series, small canvases each named after a song from those years. At 40 × 40 cm, it suits a shelf or a corner that could use some sun.
It belongs to my Pop Seventies collection.
