Tatami is made of eleven small scenes side by side, each with its own colours, textures and patterns. Patinated blues, raw beiges, deep reds, blacks full of texture.
Together they make a kind of woven mat, like the tatami in the title, where memories sit next to each other. It is a large canvas, 90 × 155 cm, and you can spend a long time going from one scene to the next.
It belongs to my The One-Offs and Colors in Freedom collections.
