Toto comes straight out of the seventies: curved lines, round shapes, flat colours with no shading. Golden yellow, turquoise, orange and green sit side by side, the colours of a kitchen or a record sleeve from those years.
The flat areas keep it clean and modern, the curves keep it playful. At 100 by 70 cm it holds a wall on its own. It makes me smile every time I walk past it, and that was the whole idea.
It belongs to my Pop Seventies collection.
Would you like to see it in person? I welcome visitors to my studio in Ericeira, by appointment: send me a message on WhatsApp.
