Why collage does you good
Some days, you feel as if you are in pieces. Collage offers a simple gesture: choosing images, papers and materials, and giving each one a place. Little by little, what was scattered comes together, and things become a little clearer.
A few old magazines, a pair of scissors, a glue stick and a piece of cardboard are enough. You can add fabric, buttons, leaves or feathers if you like.
What's inside this notebook
– What art therapy is, and why collage does you good
– The power of images, and a short journey through materials
– The doubts that come up when you start
– 9 gentle collage exercises, from 20 to 45 minutes
– A logbook to keep a trace of your journey
A real look inside

Who am I

I'm Lenon B, a painter based in Ericeira, Portugal, trained in art therapy. After painting, I wanted to share collage: a gentle way of putting the pieces back together, one image at a time.
