Chicago 1893 marked 400 years since Columbus reached America. The buildings were painted white, people called it the White City, and an engineer named George Ferris built the first big wheel to compete with the Eiffel Tower.

I didn't keep the white: the canvas is in blue, yellow, orange and black, like the rest of the series. It's one of the 20 canvases of World's Fair, and it can live on its own or in a group.

It belongs to my Pop Seventies collection.
